Shadow is like a friend who always follows you when you're outside on a sunny day.
Imagine you’re playing in the park, and there’s a big sun shining above you. When you walk around, your shadow, that dark shape on the ground, moves with you too! It's as if someone drew a picture of you on the ground, and it stays right where you are.
How Shadow Knows Where to Be
Your shadow is made by light from the sun. When the sun shines on you, some of that light gets blocked by your body, like when you stand between your friend and the sun, they can’t see it as well. The part where the light doesn't reach becomes your shadow.
If you move to a new spot in the park, the sun still shines on you from above, so your shadow moves with you too! It’s always right there, just like a loyal friend who never leaves your side, even if they're made of dark shapes and ground.
