Senescence is when things get old and start to slow down or stop working as well as they used to.
Imagine your favorite toy that you play with every day, maybe a robot or a car. At first, it moves fast and does everything perfectly. But over time, it starts making noise, moving slower, or even stopping altogether. That’s senescence, the way things get older and less energetic.
How It Works
When something is new, all its parts are working together smoothly. Like how your toy has batteries that give it power. But as time goes on, those batteries weaken, and the parts inside might not move as easily anymore. That’s why your toy doesn’t work as well as before, it's going through senescence.
Why It Happens
It happens because everything has a limit. Just like how you might get tired after playing for a long time, things also need rest and can only keep working so hard for so long. That’s why your toy gets slower over time, it's just getting older, just like you do!
