What is sea?

A sea is like a giant bath filled with water that goes on and on for miles.

Imagine you're playing in a big bathtub, but instead of walls, there are just open spaces around it. That's what the sea is like, except way bigger! It’s not just water, it's also home to fish, whales, dolphins, and even tiny little creatures you can’t see with your eyes.

What Makes the Sea Special

The sea has waves that go up and down, just like when you splash in a bath. These are made by the wind pushing on the water. Sometimes the waves are small, like when you gently tap the water with your hand. Other times they’re big and strong, like when you jump into the bathtub.

The sea can also be deep, really, really deep! It's so deep that if you put all the mountains in the world on top of it, they still wouldn’t touch the bottom. That’s deeper than anything a 5-year-old has ever seen!

And guess what? People love to swim in the sea because it feels cool and refreshing, just like when you jump into a pool on a hot day!
