What is Sea trade & routes?

Sea trade is when people send goods from one place to another using big boats on the sea, like a super long delivery truck that floats.

Imagine you have your favorite toy, and you want to give it to your friend who lives far away. Instead of walking all the way there, you put the toy in a box and send it by boat, just like how people send food, clothes, or even gold from one country to another.

How Sea Routes Work

Sea routes are like the roads on land but for boats. They're special paths that ships follow to go from one place to another. Some of these routes have been used for hundreds of years, just like how you walk the same way home every day.

Ships use maps, wind, and waves to travel along these routes. Sometimes they stop at different places to pick up or drop off goods, kind of like making multiple stops on a long trip to visit several friends.

Big ports act as stations where ships load and unload their cargo, just like how you get on and off the bus when it makes its stops. This way, people all over the world can share and enjoy things they didn’t have before!
