A scoreboard is like a big, friendly wall that shows who’s winning or losing in a game, just like when you and your friends play tag or hide-and-seek.
Imagine you're playing a game with your classmates. A scoreboard is like a giant chalkboard where the teacher writes down how many points each team has made. If Team Red gets 5 points, and Team Blue only gets 3, everyone can see right away that Team Red is doing better.
How it works
A scoreboard usually shows numbers, these are called scores. Every time someone does something special in the game, like scoring a goal or catching the ball, their team’s number goes up. The person who keeps track of the scores might be the teacher, or even one of your friends!
Sometimes you can see scoreboards on big screens at sports games, they show how many points each team has made, and it's super exciting to watch them change as the game goes on.
