What is rods?

Rods are long, straight things that help you do cool stuff when you're building or playing.

Imagine you're making a tower out of blocks. If you just stack them one on top of the other, it might wobble and fall over. But if you use rods, like sticks or straws, to connect the blocks together, your tower gets stronger and stays up better. That’s what rods do: they help things stay connected and steady.

How Rods Work

Think about a toy car. The wheels are attached to the body with little rods. Those rods let the wheels spin when you push the car forward. Without them, the wheels would just slide around instead of rolling!

Rods can be made from many materials, wood, plastic, metal, and they come in different sizes. Some are thick like a pencil, others are thin like a thread. But no matter what they're made of, rods always help things move or stay together.

So next time you're playing with blocks, remember: rods are your friends when you want to build something that lasts!
