What is resume?

A resume is like a special notebook that tells people all about you and what you're good at.

Imagine you have a toy box full of your favorite toys, your super cool robot, your shiny red car, and your fluffy purple dinosaur. A resume is like that toy box, but for grown-ups. It shows people the different things you can do, just like how your toy box shows what kinds of toys you play with.

What Goes in a Resume

A resume has sections, like pages in a book. One page might say what job you had before, another might list the cool things you learned at school or during playtime, and there’s even a place to write about your favorite hobbies.

Why People Use Resumes

When someone wants to find a new job, they give their resume to the person who is hiring. It helps that person know if you're right for the job, just like how your teacher knows if you’re ready for a new game by looking at what toys you have in your toy box.

So, a resume is your special notebook that shows people who you are and what you can do!
