What is Rapid release of pressurized steam?

Rapid release of pressurized steam is when steam suddenly goes from being squeezed tightly to being let out quickly.

Imagine you have a balloon that's been filled with air and tied up really tight, it’s full of pressure inside. Now, what happens if you untie the knot all at once? Whoosh! The air rushes out fast, making the balloon shrink and maybe even pop.

Steam is like warm air, but it’s made of tiny water droplets that are floating in the air. Pressurized steam means it's been squeezed tightly, just like your balloon.
