What is radii?

Radii are like the length from the center of a circle to its edge, just like the length from your wrist to your finger when you stretch out your arm.

Imagine you have a round pizza in front of you. The middle of that pizza is like the center of the circle, and if you measure how far it is from there to the very tip of one slice, that’s the radius, just like measuring from your wrist to your finger!

How Radii Work

If you have two pizzas, one small and one big, the bigger pizza has a longer radius. That means it goes farther out from the middle to its edge, just like if you stretch your arm all the way, your finger is farther from your wrist than when you curl it in.

You can even think of radii as measurement helpers for circles and spheres, they help us figure out how big or small something round is. Radii are like the length from the center of a circle to its edge, just like the length from your wrist to your finger when you stretch out your arm.
