What is publishing?

Publishing is when you take something you've created and share it with other people so they can read or see it.

Imagine you’ve drawn a beautiful picture on a piece of paper, and you want all your friends to see it too. Instead of handing each one the paper, you could print lots of copies and put them in a box. That’s like publishing, taking something you made and making many copies so more people can enjoy it.

How It Works

When you write a story or draw a picture, that's your work. Publishing is like sending that work out into the world. You might use a printer to make copies, or even post it online for everyone to see.

Why People Publish

People publish so others can enjoy their ideas, stories, or art. It’s like having a party and inviting all your friends, but instead of just one person seeing what you made, many people get to see it!
