What is Premise 1?

A premise is like the starting idea that makes a story or argument happen, it's what everything else builds from.

Imagine you're playing with blocks. If you say, "I want to build a tower," that’s your Premise 1. It’s the first step in your plan. Everything else, stacking more blocks, making it taller, adding colors, comes after that idea.

Like Building a Story

If you’re telling a story, Premise 1 is like saying "Once upon a time...", it's how the story starts. Without that starting point, there’s nothing to build on!

Like Starting a Game

Think of it like starting a game of tag. When someone yells, "Tag!", that’s the first action, it’s Premise 1. It kicks everything else into motion: people running, hiding, chasing.

So, Premise 1 is just the beginning, the very first idea or action that starts something new. And from there, everything else happens! A premise is like the starting idea that makes a story or argument happen, it's what everything else builds from.
