What Power Feels Like
How Power Works
Think of your toy remote control. When you press a button, it makes the car zoom forward. That’s because the remote gives the car power. Some remotes are strong and make the car go fast, that's more power. Others are weak and only make it creep along, that's less power.
Power is like your strength when you're playing tag, the more energy you have, the faster you can run and catch your friend! Power is how much something can push or pull, like when you move your toy car or lift your favorite stuffed animal.
What Power Feels Like
Imagine you're pushing a shopping cart in the grocery store. If it's empty, it’s easy to move, that’s low power. But if it's full of candy and snacks, it takes more effort to push, that’s high power. The heavier the cart, the more power you need to move it.
Examples
- A toy car uses a battery to move, that’s power in action.
- A windmill turns slowly in calm weather and spins quickly in the wind, it has different amounts of power.
