What is Poland?

Poland is like a big, friendly neighborhood where lots of people live and play together.

Imagine you have a favorite toy box, that's kind of what Poland is. It has people, who are like your friends in the neighborhood; it has places, like parks and streets, where they run around and laugh; and it has history, which is like the stories your grandma tells about how the toy box started.

Poland has been around for a long time, longer than most of your friends have been alive. It’s had kings who were like the leaders of the neighborhood, and sometimes there were big changes, like when the neighborhood got bigger or smaller.

Today, Poland is full of cities, which are like really busy playgrounds where lots of people live, work, and play. People in Poland speak a language called Polish, which sounds different from English but is just as fun to learn.

So, Poland is a neighborhood that’s been around for ages, it has friends (people), places to run and play, and stories to tell!
