How It Works
A Fun Game With Plus
Think of counting steps. If you take 3 steps, then take 2 more steps, the plus sign helps you know how many steps you took in total: 3 + 2 = 5. You just walked 5 steps!
The plus sign is a simple but powerful tool that helps us count, group, and grow things, just like when we add more toys to our pile or more blocks to our tower!
Examples
- A child adds 2 apples and 3 oranges using the plus sign: 2 + 3 = 5.
- The plus sign is used in a recipe to show adding sugar and salt together.
- A teacher writes '4 + 5' on the board to explain addition.
