When Words Change Shape
Some words change shape in fun ways:
- 1 cat → cats
- 1 dog → dogs
- 1 bus → buses
It's like adding a little "s" or changing the end of a word to show there are more things. That’s how we know whether we’re talking about one thing or many, and it helps everyone understand what’s going on!
Examples
- Apples become apples, but you add an 's', like cats or dogs.
- You can have one cat, but if there are two, it's cats.
- Pluralization is how we show more than one thing in a sentence.
