What is pirate?

A pirate is someone who sails on the sea and tries to steal treasures from other ships.

Imagine you're playing a game where you and your friends hide toys in different parts of the playground, and then you take turns trying to find them. A pirate is like the kid who sneaks up behind another player and takes their toy without asking, but instead of hiding toys, they’re stealing gold, jewels, or other cool stuff from ships.

Pirates use big wooden boats called ships that float on water. These ships are like giant, floating playgrounds with sails that catch the wind to help them move faster across the sea.

They also wear special clothes, sometimes they have big hats and long shirts, and they carry swords, which are like really cool toys you can use to play pretend battles. Some pirates even wear eye patches to make it look like they’re super brave and mysterious!

Pirates love adventure and treasure more than anything else, just like how you might love finding hidden toys in your room!
