How It Works
The piano has many keys, just like a keyboard on a computer, but much bigger, some are white and some are black. When you press a key, it makes a sound inside the piano. That sound comes from little strings that vibrate (like when you pluck a rubber band). The harder you press, the louder the sound gets.
What It Can Do
You can play songs on the piano by pressing different keys in order, just like how you might tap your fingers on a table to make a rhythm. Some people even use it to write their own music, like drawing with sounds!
Pianos are used in lots of places, from schools and homes to big concerts where musicians play together. It’s like having a whole band inside one instrument.
Examples
- A teacher explains how pressing a key makes a sound by hitting strings inside the piano.
- A person hears a grand piano being played in a concert hall for the first time.
