Perseverance is when you keep going even when things are hard or don’t work out at first.
Imagine you're trying to build a tower with blocks. You stack them one by one, but then poof, the whole thing falls down! Instead of giving up and walking away, you pick up the blocks and try again. That’s perseverance, it's like having a superpower that helps you not quit when things get tricky.
Like a Little Robot Trying to Climb a Hill
Think of perseverance like a little robot trying to climb a hill. The robot takes one step at a time, but the hill is really steep. Sometimes the robot slips and falls back down. But instead of getting sad or stopping, it just gets up again and keeps climbing. That robot is being persistent, which means it doesn’t give up easily, and that’s what perseverance looks like!
So whether you're stacking blocks, learning to ride a bike, or trying to solve a puzzle, perseverance helps you keep going until you get it right!
Examples
- A child keeps trying to ride a bike even after falling multiple times.
- Someone continues studying for an exam despite failing the first test.
