"What is over?" means something has finished or stopped happening.
Imagine you're playing on the swings at the park. You go high, then come down, that’s when you’re over the highest point, and it feels like you might fly off! When the swing stops moving altogether, we say it's over, no more going up and down.
Like a Storybook Ending
Think of a storybook. When the last page is turned, the story is over. The characters have finished their adventure, and you’re ready for a new one. That’s how over works in life, when something has had its turn, it’s time to say goodbye until next time.
A Game of Blocks
If you're stacking blocks and they all fall down, the game is over. But don’t worry, you can start again! Just like how you might go back on the swings after a rest, or open a new storybook. Being over doesn’t mean it’s gone forever, just that it’s done for now.
