What is opposition?

Opposition is when two things are working against each other, just like when you and your friend both want to play with the same toy.

Like a See-Saw

Imagine you're on a see-saw at the park. When you go up, your friend goes down, that's opposition in action! One side moves because the other side is moving the opposite way. It’s like a little battle between two sides trying to be the top.

Like a Game of Tug-of-War

Or think about tug-of-war. If one team pulls hard, the other team has to pull just as hard to stay in place. That's also opposition, two groups working against each other to win.

Opposition doesn’t have to be loud or fierce. It can happen quietly, like when you push a toy car forward and someone else pushes it backward at the same time. Both of you are doing something different, but together, you're creating opposition!
