Counting Like a Champion
When we use numbers to describe things, like the number of toys, cookies, or even steps in a staircase, we're using numerical ideas.
Think about your favorite board game. When you move forward 5 spaces, that's numerical, it tells you how many spaces you've moved.
Measuring with Numbers
Sometimes being numerical isn’t just about counting. It can also be about measuring. Like when you use a ruler to find out how long your pencil is, 12 centimeters! That’s also using numbers, so it's numerical too.
So, whether you're counting marbles or measuring your height, being numerical means using numbers to show how many or how much something is.
