Neurodivergence means your brain works differently from what people usually expect.
Imagine you have a toy box full of different kinds of toys, some are cars, some are blocks, some are balls. Now imagine that most kids in the neighborhood like playing with cars, but you love building big towers out of blocks. That’s okay! You're just using your favorite toy, and that's neurodivergence in action. It means your brain likes to do things its own special way.

Why it matters
When we understand neurodivergence, we can be more patient and kinder. You don’t need to change who you are, you just need to know that your way is special, and that’s something to celebrate!
Examples
- A child who learns best by moving around the classroom, while others sit still and listen.
- Someone who finds loud noises overwhelming but loves patterns in math problems.
- An adult who thinks differently and sees the world from a unique angle.
