What is Neolithic Revolution?

The Neolithic Revolution was when people changed from being nomadic to living in settled communities and started farming.

Imagine you're playing outside with your toys, and suddenly someone gives you a big box of LEGO bricks. You don’t need to run around looking for more toys, you can build your own world right there. That’s kind of what happened during the Neolithic Revolution.

Before this change, people were like nomadic kids, they moved from place to place, following animals and gathering food wherever it was easy to find. But then, they discovered that if they planted seeds in the ground, they could grow food right where they lived. This is called farming.

From Nomads to Settlers

This new way of life meant people didn’t have to keep moving all the time. They built homes and stayed in one place. Soon, they even started keeping animals like sheep or goats, this was like having a little farm right next door!

With more food to share, families grew bigger, and communities formed. People had time to make tools, art, and even trade with others, it was the start of civilization, just like when you finish building your LEGO city and invite all your friends over to see it!
