What is mutate?

Mutate is like giving something new powers or changing how it looks, just by asking nicely.

Imagine you have a box of crayons. Each crayon has its own color, and you use them to draw pictures. Now, mutate is like when you take one crayon, say the red one, and change it so now it can also be blue. You didn’t erase it or replace it, you just gave it a new ability.

Think of your favorite toy, maybe a robot that can only walk. If you mutate it, it might suddenly be able to fly too! It’s still the same robot, but now it has more powers or different features. You didn’t build a new robot, you just changed the old one.
