Motion is when something moves from one place to another.
Imagine you're playing with your favorite toy car on the floor. When you push it, it starts going, that's motion! Just like how you run around the room or jump up and down, everything that changes its position is moving.
What makes things move?
Sometimes you need a little help to get something going. Like when you give your toy car a gentle nudge, and then it keeps rolling. That push gives it speed, how fast it goes.
Things can move in different ways
Your toy car moves straight, but sometimes things twist or turn. Think about spinning around like a top, that’s also motion! You might even notice your pet dog running in circles when they're excited, that's moving too, just not in a straight line.
So, motion is everywhere: when you walk, when your toy car zooms across the floor, or even when something as simple as a ball bounces. It’s all about things changing places!
