Monotheism is when people believe there’s just one god who created everything and keeps it going.
Imagine you have a favorite toy box that holds all your toys, cars, blocks, balls, and even your stuffed animal. Now imagine if that toy box was made by just one person, not many. That one person is like the god in monotheism, they created everything in the world, and they’re still taking care of it.
Like a Big Family with One Leader
In some beliefs, there are many gods who do different jobs, like a big family where each member has their own job. But in monotheism, all those jobs are done by just one god, like having a super-duper parent who does everything for the whole family.
The World is Like Your Toy Box
When you play with your toys every day, they’re all inside that toy box, just like how everything in the world comes from one god. That god might be called God, Allah, or something else, depending on where you are, but it's still just one big creator, not many.
Examples
- A child learns that the whole world believes in just one god, like how there's only one sun in the sky.
- Imagine a classroom where every student thinks there’s only one teacher, not many.
- Like having only one superhero to save the day.
