What is Minneapolis?

Minneapolis is a big city where lots of people live and work together, kind of like how your classmates all help each other during recess.

Imagine it's a giant playground, but instead of swings and slides, there are buildings, streets, and stores. Minneapolis has parks that are like huge grassy areas where kids can run around and play games, just like the ones at school. Minneapolis is made up of many smaller parts called neighborhoods, just like your house is part of a bigger neighborhood with other houses around it. Each neighborhood has its own feel, some are busy with lots of people and cars, while others are quieter and more peaceful.

There are restaurants where you can eat delicious food, just like how there’s lunch in your school cafeteria. There are also schools, hospitals, and even places for people to watch movies or play sports, all working together so everyone can live happily in Minneapolis.
