What is mild?

Mild means something is not very strong or intense.

Imagine you're eating a cookie, one that's just barely sweet, not too much sugar at all. That’s mild sweetness. It’s like the sun on a cool day: not hot, just warm and comfortable.

Like a soft whisper

If loud talking is like shouting in a room, then mild is like a soft whisper. You can still hear it, but it doesn’t knock you over. A gentle breeze is mild, while a stormy wind is strong.

Mild in real life

Sometimes, when you’re sick, your medicine might be mild, not too much, just enough to help you feel better. Or maybe the flavor of your favorite drink is mild, so it’s easy on your tongue.

Mild is like a cozy blanket: not too thick, not too thin, just right.
