What is midget?

A midget is a person who is much shorter than most people, like when you compare a tiny toy car to a big real car.

Imagine you have two friends playing with blocks. One friend is as tall as the stack of blocks they build, that’s most people. The other friend is only as tall as one or two blocks, that’s a midget! They can still do everything, like run, jump, and play, but they just need to bend down a little more when reaching for things on high shelves.

A midget usually grows up to be around 4 feet tall. That’s about as tall as a small table or a big chair! If you stand next to them, you might feel like a giant, just like how a grown-up feels when standing next to a little kid.

The word midget comes from the idea of being "tiny" or "small." It’s not about being less strong or smart, it’s just about being shorter. A midget can be just as fast, funny, or clever as anyone else!
