Melt is when something goes from being solid to liquid because it gets warmer.
Imagine you have a chocolate bar, that's solid. If you put it in the sun or near a warm lamp, after a while, it starts to squish and flow, that’s liquid now. That’s what melt means!

How It Happens
When something is warm, its tiny pieces (called molecules) move faster. In a solid, they’re all tight and still. When they get warmer, they start to move more and spread out, that’s when it changes into a liquid. Like how you might squish together in a toy car on a hot day, everyone moves around more!
So next time you see something go from hard to soft or wiggly, you’ll know it's melting!
