What is March Madness?

March Madness is a big, exciting basketball tournament where teams play to win a special prize.

Imagine your school has a big game day, everyone is cheering, and there are lots of teams playing against each other in a fun competition. Now imagine that happening all over the country, with hundreds of teams, and it goes on for weeks! That’s March Madness.

In March Madness, teams play games every day, just like how you might have a game day at school. Some teams are really good and keep winning, they move forward to the next round. Others lose and go home. It keeps getting smaller until there’s only one team left: the winner!

At the end, after many games and lots of excitement, the best team gets a big trophy, just like how you might get a sticker for winning a game at school. People watch these games on TV, and they cheer really loud because it’s so much fun!
