Lower Cross Syndrome is when your body gets out of balance because some muscles are too tight and others are too weak, like a toy that wobbles if you don’t hold it right.
Imagine you're sitting on the floor with your legs crossed, just like you do when you're watching cartoons. If you keep doing this for a long time, it can make some parts of your body feel sore or stiff. That’s Lower Cross Syndrome!
What Causes It?
Think of your body as having two teams:
- Team Tight has muscles in the front of your hips and lower back, they get too tight when you sit a lot.
- Team Weak has muscles in the back of your hips and stomach, they get weaker because they’re not used much.
It’s like one team is pulling too hard, while the other can’t pull back, so everything gets unbalanced!
How It Feels
You might feel:
- Aches in your lower back or hips
- Tightness that feels like a band around your waist
- Maybe even pain when you stand up after sitting for a while
But don’t worry! With some stretching and movement, your body can get balanced again, just like a toy that wobbles but still works fine.
