What is lower?

What is lower? Lower means something is farther down or not as high.

Imagine you and your friend are playing on a slide. You're at the top, and your friend is already halfway down. Your friend is lower than you because they are farther from the top of the slide.

Now think about stairs. If you’re standing on the first step, and your brother is on the third step, he’s higher than you. But if you move to the second step, then your brother is still higher, and you are lower than him.

You can also use things like a toy box or a basket. If something is inside the basket, it's lower than what is on top of the basket.

Sometimes, numbers help too. If you have 5 toys and give 2 away, you're left with 3, which means your number went lower because it became smaller.

So remember: when something moves down or becomes less, it's lower!
