Live birth is when a baby comes out of its mommy all by itself, usually while she’s still awake and happy.
Imagine your mommy is like a big, cozy house. Inside that house lives the baby, who has been growing and getting ready for a long time. When it's time to be born, the baby pushes really hard, kind of like when you push really hard to get out of a tight spot in a game or on the playground.
Sometimes, the baby comes out quickly, like when you jump out of a pool. Other times, it takes longer, like when you slowly slide down a slide.
Most of the time, mommy stays awake and even smiles while the baby is coming out, just like how you might cheer for your friend when they finish a race!
Sometimes, though, mommy might need to rest or sleep after giving birth. That's still live birth, it just happens in a different way.
So, live birth is like a big, happy party inside mommy, and the baby comes out to join the fun!
