What is justified?

"Justified means something is fair or makes sense because it has a good reason behind it."

Imagine you and your friend are sharing candies. If you both agree that taking turns picking candies is the best way to share them, then that rule is justified, it’s fair because everyone gets a chance.

Why It Matters

When something is justified, people feel it's right or reasonable. Like when you do your homework and get a good grade, that’s justified because you worked hard and studied.

A Real Example

Think about a teacher who gives extra time to finish a test if someone was sick. That decision is justified because being sick makes it harder to do well, so giving more time helps everyone be fair.
