Inward means going inside something, just like when you open a toy box and look at all the fun toys inside.
Imagine you have a big, round ball, like the one you bounce on the playground. When you push it, it moves forward. But if you want to know what’s happening inside the ball, you need to go inward, like opening a secret door to find out what's hidden inside.
Like a Cookie Jar
Think of a cookie jar, the kind that sits on the kitchen counter. When you open it, you can see all the cookies inside. That’s going inward! You started outside the jar, and now you're looking at all the sweet treats waiting for you.
If you take one cookie out, you’re taking something from the inside to the outside, just like when you pull a toy out of a box.
So, inward is about moving from the outside to the inside, discovering what’s hidden and ready to be used or enjoyed.
