What is integrity?

Integrity is when you do what you say you’ll do, every time.

Imagine you have a favorite toy box. You promise your friend that you'll share your best toy with them after lunch. When it's time, you don’t hide the toy or say you forgot, you give it to them just like you said. That’s integrity, keeping your word even when no one is watching.

On the playground, there’s a rule: If you take someone else’s ball, you have to return it.

Now imagine you took a ball and ran off without giving it back. You broke the rule. But if you came back and gave the ball back, even though no one saw you do it, that’s integrity, playing fair even when no one is looking.
