Independence is when something can do its job all by itself, without help from someone or something else.
Imagine you have a toy car. When it's independent, it doesn’t need you to push it, it just zooms along on its own. That’s like how some things work in the real world too.
What Makes Something Independent?
If your toy car needs batteries to move, it’s still mostly independent because it can go by itself once you put the batteries in. But if it needs you to keep pushing it every second, then it's not very independent, just like a friend who always needs help with their homework.
