How It Works
Imagine you and your best friend have a shared mailbox in the park. When one of you drops a note into the mailbox, the other gets it right away. That's like sending an iMessage, it goes straight from your phone to your friend’s phone without anyone else seeing it.
What Makes It Special
Unlike regular mail that takes days to arrive, iMessage is instant. You can send messages, pictures, even videos, and they appear on the other person's screen almost immediately. Plus, if you're both using iPhones, your messages show up with a blue bubble, which means it’s an iMessage instead of regular text.
You can also talk to each other in real time using FaceTime, like having a video call right from your phone, just like talking face-to-face at the park!
