Hyperactivity is when your brain and body feel like they're going zoom, all the time!
Imagine you have a toy car that doesn’t stop moving unless someone presses a button. That’s kind of like being hyperactive: your brain and body are always running, jumping, and bouncing, just like that toy car!
What makes it happen?
Your brain is like the driver of a race car. Sometimes, the brain gets extra excited and tells the body to go super fast all day long. That’s what makes you move a lot, talk a lot, or even fidget in your seat, like you're trying to escape from a chair!
How it feels
When you’re hyperactive, it's like having too much soda inside you, bubbling and fizzing all the time. You might feel ready to run, jump, or even talk at the same time as someone else!
But that’s okay, being hyperactive is just one way of being lively and full of energy. Hyperactivity is when your brain and body feel like they're going zoom, all the time!
