What is How your body heals a cut?

Your body has a special team that fixes cuts, just like how you fix a broken toy.

When you get a cut, it's like when you drop your favorite cup and it cracks, the inside of your skin is open and needs help to close up again. Your body uses cells called skin cells to do this job.

The Healing Team

Your body has two main workers:

  • White blood cells, which are like little clean-up helpers that come in to stop any germs from getting inside.
  • Skin cells, which are like builders who work together to patch up the cut and make it strong again.

These skin cells move into the open spot, layer by layer, kind of like how you stack blocks to build a wall. Over time, they grow new skin on top so your cut is no longer visible.

A Little Time to Heal

Just like how you need a little time to fix your broken toy, your body also needs some time, maybe a few days or even weeks, for the whole process to finish and for your skin to feel strong again.
