What is heliocentric?

Heliocentric means that everything in our solar system goes around the Sun, like how all your toys go around you when you're playing.

Imagine you’re sitting on a big chair in the middle of a room, that’s like being the Sun. Now, all your friends are holding hands and running around you, they're like planets going around the Sun. That's what heliocentric means: the Sun is in the center, and everything else moves around it.

If you play a game where everyone runs around you, that’s heliocentric too! The Sun is like you, staying still while everything else moves. In this picture, Earth is just one of your friends running around you.

Before we knew about the Sun being in the center, people thought Earth was the main thing, like it was the center of everything. But now we know that the Sun is actually the boss of our solar system, and everyone else dances around it!
