What is Hegemony functions in a multipolar world?

Hegemony is like being the most popular kid on the playground who also knows how to share, and everyone wants to be friends with you.

Imagine there are five big kids in your class, each one really good at something different: sports, art, music, reading, and math. In a multipolar world, all five of them are kind of leaders, they're the ones who decide what games to play or which projects to do together. But just because there are five leaders doesn’t mean things are always fair.

Hegemony functions like one of those big kids who is really good at sharing and making everyone feel included. Even though there are five strong kids, this one kid can get the others to agree on stuff more easily, not by being bossy, but because they’re really good at listening and helping out.

So in a multipolar world, hegemony means one leader (or group) is so good at working with others that they help keep things running smoothly, even though there are many other strong players around.
