What is "happiness plateau."?

A happiness plateau is when you feel happy for a while, but then it stops growing, like climbing a hill and stopping halfway.

Imagine you get a new toy that makes you super excited. You play with it every day, and you're really happy. But after some time, the toy doesn’t seem as fun anymore. That’s like reaching a happiness plateau, you’re still happy, but not more happy than before.

What Makes It Happen?

Think of your happiness like a growing plant. At first, it gets lots of sunlight and grows quickly. But after a while, it needs more care to keep growing, maybe more water or better soil.

Sometimes, when you're used to something fun, it stops feeling as special. You might still enjoy it, but it doesn’t make you super happy anymore. That’s the happiness plateau, it's like being on a flat part of a hill instead of going up higher.
