What is halos?

Halos are bright circles that sometimes appear around lights when you look at them through certain things, like a glass or even a raindrop.

Imagine you're looking at a streetlight from inside a bubble bath. The water makes the light look bigger and surrounded by soft, glowing rings, those are halos!

How it works

When light passes through something round, like a water droplet or a lens in your glasses, it bends a little. This bending makes the bright circle around the light.

Think of it like this: you're looking at a flashlight through a magnifying glass. The glass makes the light bigger and adds some pretty rings, that’s just like how halos happen!

Why we see them

Sometimes, when there are tiny water droplets in the air (like after a rain shower), they act like little lenses around lights. That's why you might see halos around streetlights or even the sun on a cloudy day.

It's not magic, it's just light bending through round things!
