Gritty means someone keeps going even when things are hard and not fun.
Imagine you're trying to build a really tall tower with blocks. You stack them one by one, but the wind comes and knocks down your tower. Instead of getting sad or giving up, you just pick up the blocks and start again, and again, until you finally make it as tall as you want. That’s gritty!
Like a Bouncing Ball
Think about a ball that bounces. When you drop it on the floor, it goes up, then comes back down. If it hits the ground again, it bounces once more. A gritty person is like that ball, they keep bouncing even when things get tough.
Not Giving Up
Sometimes, when something is hard, we want to stop. But a gritty person says, “I can do this!” and keeps going, just like how you don’t give up on your tower, even after the wind knocks it down.
