What Makes It Special
How You Get a Gift
When someone gives you a gift, they might wrap it up in paper and put a bow on top, like how you sometimes wrap your lunch for school. Then you open it, and poof! There's something new to play with or enjoy.
Sometimes people give gifts without wrapping, maybe they just hand you a cookie or say “I love you.” That’s still a gift, even if it doesn’t have a bow.
Examples
- Your friend gives you a book they think you’ll enjoy, that’s a gift made with thought.
- A person sends you flowers without asking for anything in return, that's a gift of kindness.
