What is gaps?

Gaps are the spaces between things, like when you have blocks and there’s a little empty area between them.

Imagine you’re playing with building blocks. You stack them up one after another, but not all of them touch each other. The areas where they don’t connect are called gaps. It's like having cookies on a plate, if some cookies are spaced out and not touching the others, the empty spaces between them are the gaps.

Why Gaps Matter

Gaps can be fun! Sometimes, you want things to be close together, but sometimes you need space so that everything fits nicely. For example, when you're making a path with stones, if they’re too far apart, your feet might not feel steady, that’s a big gap. But if the stones are just slightly spaced out, it's easier to walk on them.

Gaps can also be useful in other places, like between words in a sentence or even in music, where silence gives notes time to shine! Gaps are the spaces between things, like when you have blocks and there’s a little empty area between them.
