What is fragile?

Fragile means something breaks easily when you bump it or push it.

Imagine you have a tiny glass cup, it's pretty and shiny, but if you drop it on the floor, poof! It shatters into pieces. That’s what happens with fragile things: they don’t like being shaken up or hit.

Like an Eggshell

Think of an egg, soft and round inside a hard shell. If you tap the shell just right, it cracks open, and the yolk spills out. The egg is fragile, just like the glass cup. It doesn’t take much to make it break.

Not All Things Are Fragile

A wooden toy block, on the other hand, can be thrown around or stepped on without breaking, that’s not fragile at all. So if something feels like it might fall apart with a little push, it's probably fragile!
