What is flashlight?

A flashlight is a small tool that helps you see when it’s dark.

Imagine you’re playing hide and seek in your bedroom at night, but you can’t find the closet because it’s too dark. That’s where a flashlight comes in, it acts like a tiny sun you carry with you! You turn it on, and poof, there’s light to help you see everything clearly.

A flashlight has a battery inside that gives it power. When you press the button on top, electricity flows from the battery to a bulb, which starts glowing bright. This light shines out through the front of the flashlight so you can see what’s around you, just like how your bedroom lamp helps you read your favorite book.

People use flashlights when they’re outside at night, in caves, or even under their bed! They're small, lightweight, and easy to carry. You could even put one in your pocket and take it everywhere, like a friendly little helper that never gets tired of shining light for you.
